january 12–18

Moderator invitations to the server! We are looking to have our moderators chosen and settled into the Discord server before the author application goes out in February. We are looking for some folks to fill the respective positions of writing and art moderators.

february 1–7

Author applications go live!Artists are going to be choosing from the prompts, so authors will have several days to solidify their word or prompt before the artist interest checks go out.Authors must not start writing their fics until the creation period begins. This project has a huge emphasis on communication and collaboration and we want to ensure that is the case for every pairing.Click here for the general guidelines of what to expect as an author for the project.

february 15–21

Artist applications go live! There will be a list of prompts to choose from in the interest check based upon the words the authors have selected! The top and bottom dynamics, as well as any applicable CWs, will be present on the artist application form.Click here for the general guidelines of what to expect as an artist for the project.

february 21–28

This week will be spent getting everyone settled into the Discord server.Artists and authors will use this time to work closely together to create a story as well as pick a scene or concept from their collaboration to depict in the art piece during this time.If an issue emerges where a story pivots to include a CW that the artist is uncomfortable with, we will do our best to move folks around to ensure everyone is completely happy with their collaboration partners.

july 1–august 28

Posting of fics and art begins July 1st and will continue to be posted on a Monday, Wednesday, Friday schedule!

general guidelines

  1. This project has an emphasis on communication and collaboration. Although authors will be picking the original prompt and may have a general idea in mind for a story to pitch to the artists, absolutely no writing on the actual fic must be done until the creation period begins on March 1st. This is meant to be a collaboration, and we encourage all artist and author partners to create the story that they both enjoy and can show off proudly.

  2. If, during the brainstorming period from February 21–28, a collab group finds they are not compatible, that the story includes a CW that makes the artist uncomfortable, or something to that effect, then we will do everything in our power to find a solution. We can work privately to move folks around to ensure a more favorable pairing and a good project experience.

  3. We will never give unsolicited criticism on your work under any circumstances. However, participants must be open to feedback if a moderator finds that your work does not adhere to project guidelines or finds that the word/prompt chosen is not reflected well in the fic.

  4. If a contributor misses the check-in weekend of June 12–15 and has not communicated with the mod team regarding extenuating circumstances, a pinch hitter will be pulled for that letter.

  5. There will be both private and public letter chats in the Discord server! This means that you will have a place to publicly brainstorm, share wips, talk, and get hyped for your fellow author's and artist's work along with a private place for you to ask questions, ask for extensions, discuss with your assigned artist, and submit progress for check-ins.

  6. The private chats will be shared between the artist and author. If you would like to submit any check-ins or comments with total privacy, there is a ticketing tool that you are free to utilize whenever you wish! We want the participants to be as comfortable as possible and aim to give them all the tools they need to make that happen.

  • All participants will receive a PDF copy of the entire project, formatted with everyone's fics and art! We are not selling these or profiting from them in any way. If you're wanting to get it printed using a print-on-demand service such as Barnes and Noble, it will be formatted for you to be able to do that! We cannot provide this, it'll be digital unless you personally get it printed.

  • Participants will also receive a small print of that year's collection cover art along with a sticker of the A–Z apple logo as thanks for their hard work, participation, and trust. This will be sent from the Project Leads at no cost to the participants.

content guidelines

  1. The relationship featured in the piece should be around Lucifer and Alastor only. Feel free to include references to past relationships as it fits your narrative, but the only active relationship and any graphic depiction should solely be RadioApple. (Exception: Lucifer's clones and Alastor's shadow are both allowed for this project, provided that the shadow is part of him and not a separate entity.)

  2. The work for this project should not be an extension of an existing story or AU, though you are welcome to build off it later after the project! (You may, of course, use existing concepts such as a royal guard, nanny, or Hades and Persephone AU, we just ask that it not be based on any existing fics or comics. All content must be solely your own.)

  3. While the project contains many NSFW and lighthearted prompts, content is not required to be NSFW or lighthearted. We endeavor to showcase many aspects of Lucifer and Alastor's relationship, including those with darker themes and heavier topics! Please take care to read all the applicable tags, summaries, and content warnings on the fics and art within the collections.

  4. To be selected for this project in the application process, we will be looking for a few different things:

  • For authors, we'll be looking at your AO3 page and will look for things such as: if you've got any RadioApple fanfics within the word count range we're asking for that are a full and complete storyline, plot cohesion, characterization, as well as conventions (grammar, punctuation, spelling) within your work.

  • For artists, we'll look for things like consistency, composition, bodily proportions/anatomy, and use of color and lighting.

  • Unfortunately, if you don't have any RadioApple fanart or fanfiction in your portfolio or AO3 works, then your application will not be considered for this project.

  • Please know that your follower count will never be factored in when reviewing your application!

Guidelines for authors

  1. As a potential author for the project, you will be expected to provide your WIPs (either uploading a .docx, .pdf, etc. or by linking to a Google Doc file) during the last two check-ins.

  2. We will ask for a final copy of your work (the same final version you'll be uploading to AO3) in either a Microsoft Word .docx file or a link directly to a Google Doc so that we can format your work easier for the final showcase PDF.

  3. Each fic should be between 5,000 and 15,000 words.

  4. You may pick your own prompt, rating, and content warnings as long as it is not a repeated word from a previous year.

  5. You will be responsible for publishing your fic on your own AO3 account on your designated day and add it to the 2026 collection! The title of your fic will need to match the naming convention. (e.g. A is for Anxiety)

guidelines for artists

  1. As a potential artist for the project, you will be expected to provide your WIPs (either uploading a picture directly to Discord or linking to a Google Drive file) during the three check-ins.

  2. Your art should be in portrait orientation with these dimensions to ensure the formatting for the final showcase PDF is uniform! It will be in A5, which is 5.83 inches x 8.27 inches at 300DPI (1749 px wide by 2481 px tall.)

  3. You will work closely with your author to brainstorm what kind of piece you'd like to create, whether it be SFW or NSFW, a specific scene, or an interpretation. Be sure you're both on the same page!

  4. You will be expected to produce a fully colored and rendered piece of art based on the story you've helped bring to life in your collab.

  5. You will be responsible for publishing your art on your own social media account on your designated day.

PROJECT LEAD & Writing Mod

Hi, I’m Trash! I love all things Hazbin, and most especially RadioApple. I write mostly NSFW with a heavy dose of world-building, but I love these two in all their forms and ravenously consume art and fanfic whenever I can. It’s such an honour to be hosting the second A-Z event! What started as a small, silly idea has now expanded into a community of authors and artists coming together to create what we love. I can’t wait to see what A-Z 2026 brings!

Last year was such a blast to host and I cannot wait to see all the incredible stories and art pieces that come from this project this year!
